FIXING MY RUSTY GATE LOCK & GATE MAINTENANCE WITH WD-40.

As a housewife, I always try to fix small problems around the house myself to save money for my family.

Our outdoor gate lock had become very rusty, making it hard to insert or turn the key. Since I was already working on the lock, I decided to maintain the gate too, as it also had visible rust on the frame, hinges, and latch.

I tackled the issue using WD-40 Multi-Use Product. First, I sprayed WD-40 directly into the keyhole and around the lock body—especially where it connects to the latch. Then, I applied it to the rusty areas of the gate frame, hinges, and latch to loosen the rust and provide protection.

After letting it sit for a while, I wiped away the loosened rust and dirt using paper. The results were great! The lock and gate look much cleaner now, and everything works better.

WD-40 made this DIY fix quick, easy, and super effective. It saved me time, money, and gave me the confidence to handle small repairs on my own!
