Fix Old Abandoned Water Pump Due To Stucked Fan
To fix stuck fan at a water pump using WD-40, these are the steps: 1.Safety First: Before starting any work, I make sure the switch is off and the engine is cool to avoid any burns or injuries. 2.Access the Fan: Locate the fan at the water pump. Depending on the make and model, I need to remove some components to access the fan. 3.Spray WD-40: Once I have access to the fan, I remove it and spray WD-40 on the junction where the fan meets the water pump shaft. I make sure to apply the WD-40 generously to help loosen any rust or debris causing the fan to stick. 4.Let it Sit: Allow the WD-40 to penetrate the stuck parts. It's recommended to let it sit for a few minutes to work its way into the mechanism. 5.Attempt to Rotate the Shaft and repeat to spray the WD-40 until it rolling smoothly. 6.Put the fan back and Rotate the Fan make sure it rolling smoothly. Be careful not to force it too much to avoid damaging the fan. 7.Check for Improvement: If the fan starts moving more freely, I test the water pump by starting the engine and observing the fan's operation.
